Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

The short version
  • LiveLocks has no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
  • No ads, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
  • The app sends our server an anonymous, random ID so we can check whether you have Pro. We don’t store that ID.
  • Purchases go through Apple. We never see your Apple ID, name or payment details.
  • We don’t sell or share your personal information.

This policy explains how the LiveLocks iPhone app and the livelocksapp.com website (together, “LiveLocks”) handle information. LiveLocks is operated by Kevin Abdelnour, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). If you have a question, email support@livelocksapp.com.

1. What we don’t collect

LiveLocks doesn’t have accounts. We don’t collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, health or financial information, browsing history, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). The app doesn’t ask for any device permissions.

2. What stays on your device

The app saves your settings on your iPhone: price format (cents or percent), haptics, your sport and prop filters, whether you’ve seen the intro, and that you confirmed you are 18 or older. These settings are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

Apple’s purchase system and the RevenueCat software in the app also keep a small amount of information on your device, such as the anonymous app user ID described below and a record of your active subscription, so Pro works when you open the app.

3. What the app sends to our server

Prices, games, edges and player projections come from our server. The app doesn’t contact prediction markets or sports data providers directly. Each time the app asks our server for data, the request includes:

3.1 Your plan

Whether the app thinks you are on the Free or Pro plan, plus caching information so unchanged data isn’t downloaded twice. Our server doesn’t rely on this to unlock Pro; it checks with RevenueCat (below).

3.2 An anonymous app user ID

A random identifier created by RevenueCat when you first open the app (it looks like $RCAnonymousID: followed by 32 random characters). It isn’t derived from your name, Apple ID, phone number or device identifiers. Our server uses it for one thing: to ask RevenueCat whether that ID has an active Pro subscription. The answer is kept in our server’s memory for about 60 seconds and is never written to our database or logs.

3.3 Standard request information

Like any internet service, our server and our hosting provider receive technical details with each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the address requested (for example, which sport or game), the response status, and the app and iOS version in the user-agent. These request logs are used only to deliver responses, keep the service running, fix problems and prevent abuse. We don’t use them to identify you, work out your location, build a profile or link your activity over time, and we keep them for no more than 30 days.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

LiveLocks Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never receive your name, Apple ID, email address or payment card.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions. When you buy, renew or restore Pro, Apple and the app share the transaction with RevenueCat, which links it to your anonymous app user ID. RevenueCat processes, for us: the anonymous app user ID; purchase history (product, purchase and expiry dates, price, currency, App Store country and transaction identifiers); and basic technical information sent with its requests, such as IP address, app version, iOS version and device model. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and handles this under its privacy policy. We use it only to give you Pro, restore purchases, and see subscription totals (for example, how many active subscriptions there are).

If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us aggregated statistics and crash reports about the app. These come from Apple, are de-identified, and can’t be tied to you.

5. What our server stores

Our database holds market and model data, not information about people:

WhatContainsKept
Edge log (our public track record)Each edge the app showed: the game, market, outcome, market price, LockLine price, time, the closing price and the resultPermanently; never edited
Quote historyMarket and LockLine prices for live games, about once a minute3 days
Live game and market recordings (used to improve LockLine)Scores, game situation, market prices and model outputs60 days
Reference dataPregame lines and player season statisticsReplaced as it updates

None of these records contain your anonymous app user ID, IP address, or anything else that identifies you or your device. The edge log records what was shown on the board, not who looked at it.

6. Who we share information with

We don’t sell personal information and we don’t share it for advertising. Information is handled by these service providers, only to run LiveLocks:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a transfer of LiveLocks to a new owner, who would have to honor this policy.

7. Tracking and advertising

LiveLocks doesn’t track you. We don’t use the advertising identifier, don’t link data from the app with data from other companies’ apps or websites, don’t use data brokers, and show no ads. That’s why the app never asks for permission to track.

8. How long we keep things

9. Your choices and rights

Because LiveLocks has no accounts and our server doesn’t store information about you, there is very little we hold that can be accessed or deleted. You can:

Depending on where you live (for example California, other U.S. states, the EEA or the UK), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We honor these requests as described above. We don’t sell or “share” personal information as California law defines those terms, and we don’t use sensitive personal information.

For people in the EEA and UK: we process the anonymous app user ID and purchase information to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), and request logs for our legitimate interest in running and securing the service. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Age requirement and children

LiveLocks is for adults 18 and older, and the app asks you to confirm your age on first launch. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using LiveLocks, contact us and we’ll help.

11. Security and where data is processed

The app talks to our server only over encrypted HTTPS. Keys for RevenueCat and our database are kept on the server, never in the app. Our server and database are in the United States, so information is processed there. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.

12. This website

livelocksapp.com is a static site. It uses no cookies, analytics, trackers, ads or third-party scripts, and loads its fonts from this site. Our web host receives standard request information (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how LiveLocks handles information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If a change is significant, for example if we start collecting a new kind of personal information, we’ll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
